In order to decode, convert and encode .WMA files with any Acoustica software, you will need to install Windows Media support.
Note that if you have Windows XP, Vista or 7 and keep it up to date with service packs and Windows updates, you probably already have WMA support and do not need to download any of these packages.
Note: In order to install wmfadist.exe, you must install one of the Acoustica software products first! Once you've installed one of our products, you may download and install the wmfadist.exe. Once you have downloaded the software, run or "Open" it to install it! The installation program will be called 'wmfadist.exe'. If you are unsure of where you put the installation, just search your computer for the file 'wmfadist.exe'. Once found, double click or run it to start the installation. You will, most likely, have to restart your computer once it is done. Note that you can use our software without installing this software from Microsoft. However, if you want to encode or decode WMA files, you will need to install this software.
